PRICING & FEES

Clear fixed fees. No nasty surprises.

We agree a fixed fee after reviewing your matter — so you know where you stand before work begins.

OUR APPROACH

Certainty on cost, quality on every matter

As a small specialist immigration practice we restrict the number of clients we accept. That means Agnes Lai — our principal solicitor with over 20 years’ experience — personally handles your matter from start to finish. Work is never delegated to a junior solicitor, paralegal or unqualified person.

Clients prefer certainty on cost. After we consider the complexity of your case, we aim to agree a fixed fee for the work we undertake. The figures below are a guide only and do not constitute a quote. Home Office application fees, the immigration health surcharge and other disbursements are not included.

HOW FEES WORK

What’s included — and what isn’t

No VAT on our fees

Agreed fees exclude VAT, disbursements, Home Office fees and the immigration health surcharge. We do not charge VAT on our fees; VAT may apply to some disbursements (currently 20%).

Admin & file copies

A standard £40 administrative fee covers photocopying a file copy of the application and supporting documents. Extra bundles are £30 each.

Payment on account

Half the agreed fee is required on account before work starts. The balance (and any agreed extras) is due at least 7 working days before submission.

Outside the fixed fee

Fixed fees cover one application only — not reapplications, post-submission work, administrative or judicial review, tribunal appeals, or third-party liaison (e.g. an MP). Calls outside the retainer: £25. Urgent unforeseeable work: £250/hour.

THE WORK

What we do on your application

A major part of our role is risk management — applying expertise so issues are dealt with inside the application, not on appeal.

  • Detailed discussion of your circumstances and the best route
  • Advice on the Immigration Rules and how you meet them
  • Review and organisation of supporting evidence
  • Help obtaining further evidence where needed
  • Drafting statements, forms and legal representations
  • Preparing the application bundle and guidance on next steps
